Matthew Wuertz

Why Improv:
Matt loves playing pretend games.  For him, it's fun and exciting when people come together with made-up characters to see how they all play together.

Name One Weird Thing About Yourself:
He's lived in Indiana his entire life and has never eaten at White Castle.

Professional Bio:
Matt's experience with improv began when his wife took classes and couldn't stop talking about it.  His second-hand experience turned into a real interest when he read Jill Bernard's book on improv.  Matt draws upon his experience as a published author to assist in the improv world.  Matt has taken classes with Peter Spellos.

Comedy Influence:
Matt enjoys the Three Stooges, the Marx Brothers, and Jim Gaffigan.

Your Life Outside Comedy/Acting:
Matt is a software architect and a fiction writer.  His short stories have appeared in various fiction markets, including Ares Magazine, Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, and Abyss & Apex.  He is married to a beautiful, talented woman, and they have three hilarious children. There’s never a dull moment in his home.
